Lisa Dimino White

I'm Lisa, an author, speaker, wedding officiant and life coach who's all about joy: seeking, creating, and spreading it. I believe that people are amazing and too often don't recognize their own greatness. I'm on a mission to change that. 

I'm married to a great guy, Jonathan, and we have two awesome kids (when they're not driving me crazy.) David is 14 and Catherine is 11. 

My favorite things in the universe are my family, football, poker,  Barry Manilow, and the women's clothing clearance section at Target. It's the simple things that often bring us the most joy, right?!

I share my super optimistic (and slightly neurotic) thoughts on my blog, in my book and on my podcast, both titled Bursting with Happiness, officiating weddings of all sizes, and by speaking to groups of all sizes.

Our goal is to bring you some joy during what can often be stressful times, and what better way to do that than through a captivating story?!

I'm Rachel, a working mom trying to balance her job, family, and finding a few minutes for myself, like so many others. I love engaging with new people and learning from them, especially when they are different from me.  

I beam with pride over my dear husband, the Honorable David Steven Brooks, but I’m glad he is just Dave and daddy around our house. My dear daughter is Nancy, age 10, and our hamster is named Peanut.

I work for the Federal Government in language assessment, which is measuring how well people know languages. Yes, I’m a math nerd, a language nerd, and a music nerd and proud of it. I have a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Georgetown University.

I love travel, talking to people and being outside in colorful Colorado, whether it’s hiking, paddling, or just sipping a beverage and watching the sun set.

Life has had its struggles and amazing adventures, but the best way I know to get through them is through God, connecting with good people, and a positive outlook. 

I can’t wait to see what stories are left to be written for me, but in the meantime, I’m going to learn all I can from the experiences of those around me.
